You can create and save your own stats, and this would be of interest for those of you who would just like to use the app for free and while this is fine it will involve a bit more work by the user.
The best approach would be to have and easy to follow method and that way you’re not going to get lost halfway through the process and the one I used when creating the Jadwiz Starter Stats is as follows.
Always use the day of the week as your starting point because that way we just need to check the folder which corresponds to the current day of the week, example its Thursday today so just check the Thursday folder we don’t need to know all the stats in other folders.
So, we have selected our racecourse and let’s say its Newmarket, we then just add the filter ‘Day Of Week’ the page now displays how each favourite has performed at Newmarket for each day of the week which appears in the first orange box.
What I would then suggest is select the stats which displays Sunday’s results and add another filter and the next one on the list is ‘Handicap-Stakes’ and once selected the app will ask you do you wish to add or swap the filter, in this case we will add.
Most of the positive stats using just two filters are included in the Jadwiz Starter Stats so I would recommend taking things a little further and adding a third filter.
So far, we have Newmarket as our racecourse and filtered by day of the week and we now have a choice between handicap or stakes races which are non-handicap, we will select ‘Handicap’ from the results.
On the next page I would select the next filter down which is ‘Horse Colour’ the app will ask if you wish to add or swap the filter and again, we select to add the filter as before, and the displayed list will now show four results.
One of these is what I class as a positive stat which is the third on the list which has the following filters in use, Day Of Week = Sunday, Handicap-Stakes = Handicap, Horse Colour = Chestnut.
This stat shows a massive profit of 67%, however there have only been 28 races over the last 35 years, so it’s up to you if you use it, personally I look for at least 35 races that’s one race per year.
Does not sound many but get one for each course and you have a banker for each Sunday but why stop there may as well continue and get these stats for all the days of the week and all racecourses.
We now have positive stat we will want to save it, tap the stat that you are after and in this case it’s the one with the following filters applied, ‘Sunday’, ‘Handicap’, ‘Chestnut’.
The goes to the filters page again where we now scroll to the bottom and tap the stat which then displays the save page, here we have a few options depending on whether we have already saved any stats for this racecourse.
Option 1, simply click the button ‘Create Folder And Save’ which will create a folder called ‘My General Stats’ and save your stat in that folder.
Option 2, if we have already saved a stat previously to that folder then it will show under the create folder area and we just need to tap ‘My General Stats’.
Option 3, and this would be my chosen method create another folder and call it the day of the week which your stat is for, so in this case type ‘Sunday’ in the text box and click ‘Create Folder And Save’.
So we have saved our stats and are now back on the filters page and we don’t want to miss any positive stats so what I do is go to the next filter below the last one we added which was ‘Horse Colour’ and click ‘Horse Sex’ you will receive a message informing you the you cannot use more than three filters, just click ok.
Then click the button marked ‘Swap Filter’ this will swap your last added filter which was ‘Horse Colour’ with your new filter which is ‘Horse Sex’ and display the results, there are no real positive stats here which have the required number of races so time to move on, to do this tap any result.
Move down to the next filter in the list and in this case our choice will be ‘Jockey Allowance’ and swap the filter as before and keep repeating until you have worked you way through the remaining filters.
Once you have finished its time to repeat and use the next day, click the ‘Reset Filters’ and then reselect Newmarket and add the filter ‘Day Of Week’ and this time use ‘Monday’, now this will take a fair amount of time to complete all the racecourses.
What I did was to do just do a few minutes now and again on your tea or dinner break and stop only after you have found a positive stat and there is a reason for this, which is there is a tendency to forget where one is up to.
By stopping after a save you can use the app ‘Last Saved Stat’ facility and you can find this on the flyout menu just select it and the app will let you know the last stat that you saved.
So, in this example our last stat saved was ‘Sunday’, ‘Handicap’, ‘Chestnut’ so we now know where to start from the next time you’re looking for positive stats.
Just select Newmarket add the filter ‘Day Of Week’ select ‘Sunday’ from results displayed, add the second filter ‘Handicap-Stakes’ select ‘Handicap’ from displayed results and there is no need to add ‘Horse Colour’ because we now know we have already done it so select the next one down which is ‘Horse Sex’ and we can now carry on where we left off.
Like I said this will be a long process, but you don’t need ot do it all in one go just take your time five minutes in the morning another five at dinning same for your afternoon break and maybe again later in the evening.
Don’t fancy all the work then there are still the Free Jadwiz Starter Stats, or you could later purchase the Full Jadwiz Racecourse Stats.
